In this retreat, Tulku Migmar teaches on the fundamentals of tantric practice, including the three samadhis, four stakes, and other essentials, with daily group practice of the Trinley Nyingpo.
This condensed sadhana practice is drawn from the Lamé Tukdrup Barché Kunsel (The Guru’s Heart Practice, Dispeller of All Obstacles), which was discovered by the great treasure revealer Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa in the 18th century with the support of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and Jamgön Kongtrul Lodro Thaye. The chief figure in this practice is Guru Padmsambhava, with the sambhogakaya Avalokiteshvara and the dharmakaya Amitabha, surrounded by the Guru’s twelve emanations.
His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche had said this to say about this precious treasure teaching:
The Barchey Kunsel is the heart essence of the accomplished master Padmasambhava, who perceives the three times in their entirety. It is the quintessence of one billion heart sadhanas of the Guru, the most unique terma buried in the land of Tibet, and it is the first among the Four Cycles of Guru Sadhana. This Guru’s Heart Practice, Dispeller of All Obstacles contains in completeness all the profound key points of the view, meditation, and conduct of the Three Inner Yoga Tantras.
This pure and perfect teaching, which effortlessly bestows, in accordance with one’s wishes, the all-encompassing supreme and common siddhis, temporarily and ultimately, was an unprecedented diffusion of the gemstones of the profound meaning, like opening up the treasury of the universal monarch.
The Trinley Nyingpo is one of the most popular and widely-practiced sadhanas amongst Chokgyur Lingpa’s revelations, and is a practice that continue to flourish throughout the world, as more come to connect with its immense blessings, which are as potent now as ever.

Who is this retreat for: Those who already have, or aspire to have, familiarity with sadhana practice in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Empowerment and transmission of the Trinley Nyingpo is not required for attendance, although is for personal practice of this sadhana afterwards.
What is the format: Recordings of the teachings and selected practice sessions. Empowerment is not required to view this retreat, although a sincere wish to receive the empowerment in the future is encouraged.
How much does the retreat cost: Suggested minimum donation of $21, to support the continued ability to offer these courses in person and online.
