In this weekend retreat, Phakchok Rinpoche will lead us into a deeper experience of prajnaparamita, the perfection of wisdom, who is hailed as the mother of all buddhas, the precious source from which we awaken to our true nature. The Buddha’s elucidation of this wisdom can be found in the 8000-line Prajnaparamita Sutra, one of the most essential embodiments of the Mahayana perspective. Rinpoche will draw upon the Buddha’s own words to point us toward this wisdom of emptiness, which is the basis for the meditative approach of Mahamudra.

We can look forward to a retreat that offers both sitting meditation practice and learning sessions, with morning retreat periods followed by afternoon sessions of instruction from Rinpoche. Through this approach, practitioners will have ample opportunity to integrate the insights offered by the Buddha into their life, so that we may better embody this path both on and off the cushion.
